In response to the Coronavirus (COVID-19), it is the policy of the 23 pt District Court, the 233rd District Court, the 322nd District Court, the 324th District Court, and the 325th DistrictCourt as well as their respective Associate Judge courts and the Child Protection Comi are cancelling all dockets beginning on Monday, March 16, 2020 through April 1, 2020. The only matters that will be heard are extraordinary relief TROs, protective orders, removal hearings, status review and permanency review hearings, writs of habeas corpus and/or attachment, adoptions, and child support bond releases.
It is also the policy of the above courts that even though some school districts are “extending” spring breaks because of COVID-19, spring break possession ends according tothe previously scheduled spring break as set forth in the school calendar for the applicable school district.
The Child Protection Court instructional meeting currently scheduled on March 20, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. is also cancelled.
Even though Judge Bennett’s policy will differ from those set forth above, Judge Bennett does agree with the policy of the other District Courts as to spring
break possession periods. It is our understanding Judge Bennett will issue her own orders regardi docket as to all other issues.
