The unpredictability of COVID-19 has impacted us in various ways. Most of us have had to re-examine the way we conduct our day-to-day lives and businesses and how we communicate and connect with family, friends, and clients. There is hope that some good will come out of all this, and it has become even more important to to be kind to one another, slow down and celebrate the little things in life. Webb Family Law Firm, P.C. has recently hired on two new incredible attorneys, Greg Beane and Kelvin Malone, who joined the firm just in time to work remotely. Shortly before this pandemic took center stage of our lives, the Webb family endured the tragic loss of an amazing man. As many of you are aware, Brian L. Webb, founder, father, and friend to many lost his battle with cancer in November 2019. The Webb Family Law Firm is now being led by his daughter, Natalie Webb, who is Board Certified in Family Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. His son, Brant Webb, is also a partner and practices law at their family’s law firm located in downtown Dallas. Brian Webb’s knowledge and 40+ years of experience led the firm with distinction. He was awarded numerous honors, including the prestigious Sam Emison Award, and was a charter member of the American College of Family Trial Lawyers, which is limited to 100 members nationwide. In 2015, Brian was inducted into the Hall of Legends of the Family Law Section, State Bar of Texas. The Webb Family Law Firm will proudly honor his numerous accomplishments and continue his legacy. Webb†Practiced for 40+ years(1949 – 2019) Brian L. Webb is dearly missed. We continue to reflect on all the good times we shared together, and how his smile could light up an entire room (or stadium). Brian’s jokes were unfiltered, his laughter was contagious and his generosity unmatched. Brian continues to be a legend, by receiving numerous awards in the wake of his passing. The same qualities that made him such an incredible attorney also carried over into his personal life. He touched so many lives in unique ways. Many of us knew the lawyer who was a worthy adversary in court. Others knew his more generous side and how he always lent a helping hand to anyone in need.Brian was a brilliant attorney and also enjoyed shaping young legal minds as an adjunct professor at SMU Dedman School of Law. One of his students wrote, “Professor Webb was truly passionate about teaching us. He was even more passionate about his love for being an attorney, which was extremely refreshing. This love was directly proportional to our desire to learn and we are very grateful for professors like him!” Among many other awards, he has also been chosen to be in Texas Super Lawyers every year since its inception, including selections as one of the Top 100 Super Lawyers in Texas and as one of the Top 100 Super Lawyers in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. D Magazine named him as one of the best family lawyers in Dallas and he has been listed in the prestigious “Best Lawyers in America” every year since 1989. He presided over Texas’ four largest statewide family law organizations: (the Family Law Section of the State Bar of Texas, the Texas Academy of Family Law Specialists, the Texas Chapter of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, and the Texas Family Law Foundation) and served on boards of national and international family law organizations. Mr. Webb was a leader in the community and family law for decades. Brian Webb was a friend, a proud loving father and grandfather, and an amazing and fun boss to those who quickly became family. He is irreplaceable and his accomplishments unmatched. We want to honor what he began long ago and continue his legacy.
